I have lived with my wife Colette in Opotiki since 1999. Both Colette and I have lived in New Zealand for over 50 years. Colette is of Ngati Mutunga, Irish decent on her mothers side and French American on her Fathers side.

I'm whangi to the shields whanau, my birth whanau being Knight with Welsh (Celtic) ancestry.

I have worked for Te Runanga o Te Whanau since 2000. 

My Previous roles have been with NZPO, Telecom and Auckland University.
